The gap in the freelancer tool stack

Separate tools split one client story.

A notes app, contact list, project board, time sheet and invoicing tool all describe the same client work—without sharing its context.

The BlokNotes approach

Write naturally. Add business structure. Keep everything connected.

  • 01Client details
  • 02Project notes
  • 03Timesheets and invoices

One workspace

The client, the work, its notes and the final document stay in reach.

How an object works

A note with a purpose.

A project has status and dates, a meeting has participants, and an invoice has totals and tax—while each still has a full note. Add scoped notes around any object when its context grows.

Write first
Capture ideas, decisions, links, and context in a full note.
Add structure
Give that note an owner, dates, status, relationships, tasks, and other typed fields.
Make it yours
Create custom types and extra notes for the parts of your freelance practice only you know.

Share the note. Keep the workspace private.

Send a proposal, brief, status update or handoff as one read-only note. The client does not need an account and does not see your internal workspace.

One note at a time

  1. 01Choose a client-ready note
  2. 02Set an expiry for the public link
  3. 03Send it without a client login
  4. 04Revoke the link when it is no longer needed
  • Only the selected note is visible to the client
  • Links can expire after one hour, one day or seven days
  • Revoke access when the conversation changes
  • See aggregate reads without claiming verified identity
Content channels

Publish selected records. Keep one source.

Turn approved notes, items, collections, companies, projects and data-table records into structured content for a developer-built website.

Clear boundary: BlokNotes delivers controlled content and forms. It is not a visual website builder.

FAQ

Questions before you start

What is BlokNotes?

BlokNotes is a connected workspace for freelancers, with built-in objects for client work: projects, tasks, companies, people, meetings, services, issues, quotes, invoices, timesheets, research and more. Growing small teams can use the same model together.

How is BlokNotes different from Notion or other note apps?

Generic note tools give you pages and databases to configure. BlokNotes starts with built-in business objects that already carry useful fields and relationships, lets you add custom object types, and keeps a full note plus scoped notes around every record.

What is a built-in object?

An object is a note with a purpose: a project has status and dates, a meeting has participants, a product has pricing, and an invoice has totals and tax—while each still has a full note for context.

Is BlokNotes an accounting system?

No. BlokNotes can create quotes and invoices, calculate configured taxes, generate PDFs and track payment status, but it does not replace bookkeeping, payment processing or statutory accounting software.

Can BlokNotes publish content to a website?

Yes. Content channels publish selected records, fields and note bodies to a developer-built website using reviewable, immutable versions. BlokNotes is not a visual website builder.

What languages does BlokNotes support?

The interface is currently English. Generated documents and exports — invoices, timesheets — support English, Dutch, French and German labels.
